Birdwatching Excursion

EuroParcs IJsselmeer is located close to one of North Hollands most beautiful bird areas: De Vooroever!
Brigitte van Rijswijk and Ineke Buijsman, two experienced bird guides, are happy to take you on a tour to discover the special birds that live here by the IJsselmeer.

What to expect?
We start in the restaurant, where over a cup of coffee or tea we will tell you a bit about the birds and what to expect during the excursion. Afterwards, we will set off on foot for a 1.5-hour walk along the IJsselmeer, through a stunning bird area. Of course, this is nature birds are never in one fixed spot but we are sure to see many water birds such as geese, ducks and herons. There is also a chance to spot rare species, such as the kingfisher or maybe even the sea eagle, which is often seen in this area. One thing is certain: it will be a fantastic excursion with plenty to see. Make sure to wear good walking shoes and warm clothing, and if you have binoculars, be sure to bring them along!
