Open Day Bunker Egmond
Bunkerdorp on Hoeverweg in Egmond aan den Hoef offers a unique opportunity to discover World War II bunkers. Scattered through the dunes are 13 bunkers, once part of the German Atlantic Wall. They were part of the defence of Bergen airfield and served as anti-aircraft defences. Thanks to volunteers, this heritage remains preserved and accessible.
Follow the route past bunkers with original sleeping quarters, ammunition storage and a canteen. Some are accessible to visitors.
Located opposite Hoeverweg 27 in Egmond aan de Hoef.
Only accessible on foot or by bicycle, no parking available.

Guided tour of the Sancti Brewery
Every Saturday there is a guided tour of Egmond Brewery.
Discover the craft, history and unique ingredients that give our beers their character.
Reservations for the tour can be made online via the website.

Where: Weg over de Bisschop 1B in Egmond aan den Hoef.
Time: 2:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m.
Admission: €19.50 per person
After the tour, the Sancti tasting room will be open. It is within walking distance of the brewery, at Slotweg 42.
The tasting room is located in a former stable that has been carefully renovated. The warm atmosphere, historical elements and sensory garden make for a unique experience.

Walking in the Wimmenummer Dunes (Egmond aan den Hoef)
Every first Sunday of the month, the IVN organises a walk through the dunes north of Egmond aan den Hoef.
The walk goes through the open dunes, along the inner dune edge and through the seaside village landscape. There are different routes, depending on the breeding season.
The walk starts at 10 a.m. at the PWN information board at the end of the Nachtegalenpad in Egmond aan den Hoef.

Cost: €3 per person. Children can join the walk for free.
An admission ticket for the PWN North Holland Dune Reserve is required for this walk. These are available at the reception desk or online at www.pwn.nl/duinkaartkopen.

Arrival of Saint Nicholas (Sinterklaas) in Egmond aan Zee
On Saturday 22 November at 1:30 p.m., Sinterklaas and his helpers will arrive in Egmond aan Zee in festive style. The saint will arrive at the main beach entrance, where children and parents can welcome him.
It promises to be a cheerful afternoon, where young and old alike can marvel at the arrival of Sinterklaas.
