New Year's Dip in De Koog
Anyone who wants to ring in the new year with a refreshing dip in the North Sea is welcome to join us at Paal 20 beach on Texel. Together with other Texel residents and visitors who aren't afraid of a little cold, you can dive into the North Sea.

Lighthouse Texel
The sturdy red lighthouse at the northernmost tip of the island is, for many people, the symbol of Texel. So you'll definitely want to visit it when you're on our Wadden Island. Good news: you can!
Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday until 19 December. During the Christmas holidays, every day except 25 December and 1 January.
The lighthouse is open to the public. After climbing 118 steps, you will find yourself on the gallery, 45 metres above sea level, with a magnificent view of the North Sea, the Wadden Sea, the northern part of the island and nearby Vlieland. In the dark, the light from the Texel lighthouse can be seen all the way to Leeuwarden.
A visit to the lighthouse costs €6.00 per person. Children up to 4 years old are free.

Every Monday from 11:00 to 16:00, there is a flea market in Axel Lap's barns on Witteweg in Den Hoorn.
The proceeds go towards the maintenance of the Hoornder church.
